Jury Duty

A personal achievement has been recorded recently!!!  I just broke my perfect, undefeated winning streak of ZERO for jury duty!  No seriously, I just got my first jury duty EVER in nearly 15 years.  That is truely a milestone in my book.

Now you can go back to whatever you were previously doing.

My New Favorite Things!!!

Hello all!  I have several favorite things that are pretty dope.  First on the list is my new Motorola Driod X
Hello Moto!
This phone is simply the shit.  No, I didn't wait in line.  No, seriously it does nearly everything I could possibly want and more.  I can take my phone and easily connect it to someone's TVand watch HD TV.  You can create a mobile hot spot just like the MIFI.  You will note Super Mario is running as wallpaper.  That is truely amazing.  I even got a nice dock.

You get 3 customizable landscape home screens when you have your Droid docked.

The biggest problem with all these abilities is that they all consume more battery.  If you just talk on the phone and not fuck with it, you are A-Ok.  If not, within a couple of hours your phone will start giving the battery low beep.  You see these phones are like crack because their uses are endless.

Here was a picture I took when I was at Costco.

I was messing around with the photo settings.  Pretty neat.  Supposedly its 8MP.

LeBron-a-thon Is Over!

Now that the LeBron-a-thon is over, everyone can take a collective exhale.  I was amazed about the new level hype of all this has achieved.  No really, everyone, let us not kid ourselves, he does NOT have a championship ring...yet.  D'wane Wade already has one.  Furthermore, I was not impressed by LeBron's last playoff games.  The one key thing that superstars do on cue is deliver the goods.  MJ and Kobe are perfect examples of players that can and will deliver to their team when necessary.  LeBron has one one to blame but himself for his shortcomings in Cleveland.

Which leads me to my next topic Cleveland.  You guys fell in love with your superstar because you actually thought that he would be the savior that would bring glory to your little shithole town.  Sorry, but for me personally, other than financial gain, I would never plan any trip to that city.  Things happen in the BIG cities like Boston, Los Angeles, NYC, and Miami.  No offence, but you don't have people lining up to move into your town.

Don't believe the hype.  You did, Nike did, the mayor did, and now you guys burning his jerseys and have several million haters.

As for the owner of the team, Mr. Dan Gilbert, who is responsible for making TurboTax and Quicken Loans (and worth 1.1B)  should sell the team.  Your best asset left the team and you will die before you find any one person that can replace this guy.  You found the goose that laid the golden egg and you kicked that goose to a sunny state.  Sell your team and get a new hobby because you will be embarassed further when the Miami Heat show up and rip your sorry team a new one.

Blockbuster is the Jerkoff of the Month

I thought I would take a moment to complain about these assholes. I remember growing up with lots of choices of stores to purchase music and movies. Then came Blockbuster Music. I really liked it. They had something called a "music station" where you would bring any cd from the store to this station where you could take your time and listen to that cd. I also liked the prices because you actually got more than pocket change back from your $20 for one cd. That was one of the most annoying things when you purchased one cd for nearly $20 and only like one fucking song. Soooo, since Blockbuster Music came in, all the other music stores started shutting down.

Music Plus
The Wherehouse
Sam Goody
Tower Records (that was very sad seeing them close)

So Blockbuster Music started dominating that sector, but the next thing I know, Blockbuster Music is shutting down too! Perhaps we had too many music stores, but all I know is that they are all gone.

As for Blockbuster Video, everyone knows about their late fee gouging etc, but the story was similar, they came in, demolished the competition (or outright purchased them like Hollywood Video) and now they are shutting down???
So yes, Blockbuster, you are my Jerkoff of the Month. Congratulations.
