Bentley Repo'ed?
I saw this
when I was walking to my car when I got out of work.
There were a couple of things that sparked my curiosity.
First was the piece of shit truck towing this 200k auto.
Secondly, they were parked behind a Chase bank for over 30 minutes.
Thirdly, check out all the cameras on the hood? Handicapped? Witnesses have told me that the driver did not look handicapped.
Here is a picture of the front. No front plates. I think it's a Continental Speed. You would think that this Bently deserves a flatbed.
To be honest with you, I don't think that these cars are a big deal. I would never take a picture of one, but in this case, I felt compelled to document this little story. I feel like this car deserves better treatment.

Air McFly!!
Holy Shit! Nike is releasing 1,500 shoes that look exactly like the ones in Back to the Future 2. You know, the ones that have automatic laces and that indiglow Nike! So Michael J Fox announced them on David Letterman today saying that they were going to auction the shows on Ebay.
check out the ebay listing.
Note at exactly :26. You will see the famed Tinker Hatfield. Yup, this is the shoe designer of the amazing Michael Jordan. What is cool is that the proceeds are going to research Parkinsons. What is amazing is that the prices are sailing past 4k for a pair. FUCK!!

Getty Museum
So this Labor Day, we took a day trip to check out the Getty Museum. I am not a big museum guy but I thought that I should check this one off my list. Next time I promise to bring a better camera. You will have to make do with my Droid X.
So the place is pretty neat. First of all, the museum sits off the 405 freeway between the 10 Fwy and the 101. Actually I think it's closer to the 101 freeway. Which I might add, that intersection of freeways is one of the biggest TRAFFIC jams in the entire world. Last time I checked, it was no. 1 in the US. That's LA for you. =) So back to the museum. It's absolutely free. Actually, I lied. You pay for parking. $15 to be precise.
So once you park, you take a tram up. Kind of like Disneyland or something but waaay cheaper (as long as you don't eat there!).
So as you ascend, you can see the traffic that you are not in on the 405. This Labor Day Sunday, the traffic was light. Nice.
See, the traffic is not too bad on the 405.
So this one of Van Gough you probably know. Irises. What you don't know is that this painting is worth a shitload. Someone paid 53m for it in 1987. Fuck. That asshole didn't have enough money. What a douche.
They had a Cuba exhibit. They had lots of pictures of the revolutionaries including Che and Fidel. I noted that Fidel was a big guy on PR. He was big on "photo ops".
Here is a statue in the front. I wanted to pose with the statue, but a security guard told me to step down. What a bummer.
Here is something that drew my interest.
There is the description.
Here is a neat bed. I wonder how many babies were made in this bed.
This one is a Monet- Rouen Cathedral 1892. 30 In all have been made. I thought this was pretty neat. He painted a Gothic Roman Catholic Cathedral in Northern France.
This sculpture was outside. Kind of interesting.
This is the garden. They have a cool river, rebar trees (their logo) and a very cool waterfall. In the backround you can see Santa Monica and the water. I presume you can see Catalina on a clear day.
One thing that the Getty has that is awesome that is undisputable are the views. This is the 405 freeway and on the left you have Westwood, Century City, K-Town etc. Here is another Monet. Haystacks 1890. I thought that this was pretty neat also. I was greatful that I was able to take a picture of it. I noted that you can't take pictures of EVERYTHING in the museum. I do know that you can take pictures of some things, and get away with others.
